Al Silica gel is colorless or light yellow transparent or translucent spherical particles with a chemical formula mSiO2.nAl2O3.xH2O. It has stable chemical properties, is non-combustible, and insoluble in any solvent except strona bese and hydrofluoric acid. Compared with silica gel with fine holes, it has similar adsorption capacity at low humidity (e.g., RH=10%, RH=20%), but 6-10% higher adsorption capacity at high humidity (e.g., RH=80%, RH=90%). Its thermal stability (350ºC) is more than 150ºC higher than that of silica gel with fine holes, making it suitable for variable temperature adsorption and separation.
Al Silica Gel is primarily used for the adsorption and separation of light hydrocarbons by dehydrating natural gas. It can also serve as a catalyst and catalyst carrier in the petroleum industry, industrial desiccant liquid adsorbent, and gas separation.
