Fused silica is high purity quartz sand that has been melted to form glass. Its high volume stability, low volumetric expansion, and high purity make fused silica a versatile material for refractory applications, such as aluminum launders.



At Lianyungang Chemsize International Trading Co., Ltd., we carefully select high purity silica sand (SiO2 > 99%) from Donghai/Xinyi as our raw material. The silica sand is melted at high temperatures (2000-2300 ºC) to form amorphous silicon dioxide glassy ingots, which are then processed into fused silica lumps, sand, and powder based on customer requirements.

The resulting amorphous Silicon dioxide is engineered into various forms such as lumps, cullet, ingots, sand, grain, granular, and powder flour. These forms are ideal for creating PV fused silica crucibles, thermal ceramics, refractories, EMC investment casting ceramic shells, and more.



Fused Silica Sand Appearance and Specifications:



  • No unfused parts are allowed.

  • No foreign materials like strings, plastic lines, carbon, wood, metal, or other contaminants are permitted.

  • Only conditional black dots are acceptable.

  • Black spot diameter should not exceed 2mm.

  • Total black dots quantity should be less than 10 per square meter.
