Its high volume stability, low volumetric expansion, and high purity make it a versatile material for refractory applications, such as in aluminum launders. Our company, Lianyungang Chemsize International Trading Co., Ltd., strictly selects high-purity silica sand (SiO2>99%) from Donghai/Xinyi as the raw material. The silica sand is melted at high temperatures (2000-2300 ºC) to form amorphous silicon dioxide glassy ingots, which are then processed into fused silica lumps, sand, and powder according to customer requirements.

Fused Silica is produced from high purity crystal silica from China Donghai-Xinyi. It is electrically fused at temperatures of 1800-2000ºC to create amorphous Silicon dioxide. The material is then engineered into various forms such as lumps, cullet, ingots, sand, grain, granular, and powder flour. These forms are designed for making PV fused silica crucibles, thermal ceramics, refractories, EMC investment casting ceramic shells, and more.

Fused Silica Sand Appearance and Specifications:

• Must not contain any unfused parts


• Should be free of foreign materials such as string, plastic, carbon, wood, metal, or other contaminants


• Only conditional black dots are allowed, no other color dots


• Black spot diameter should not exceed 2mm


• Total black dots quantity should be less than 10 per square meter
