Application
It is mainly used for absorbing moisture anti-rusting of instruments, gauges and equipment in the enclosed conditions. After absorbing moisture, it turns from blue to red, visually i indicating the rel ative humidity of the given environments.When being used with ordinary sili ca gel or drier,it indicates to which extent the drier absorbs the moisture and j udges the relative humidity of a given environment. It is widely used as silica gel drier for the packing of precision instruments,leathers,shoes,clothes,foodstuffs,medicines and household electric appliances, etc.

The color changes from blue to purple to pink as it adsorbs moisture.
Blue silica gel Chemical Formula is SiO2 · nH2O + CoCl2
Also known as a narrow pore silica gel, Chemsize has a vast network of interconnecting pores with diameters of 20-30 nanometre. These pores have a strong affinity for moisture and use physical adsorption and capillary condensation to trap and hold it. Silica gel will remove moisture at temperatures as high as 220° F, but is best used at room temperature (70-90° F) and high relative humidity (60-90% Rh).
