Lianyungang Chemsize International Trading Co., Ltd. specializes in the production of fused silica, a high-purity quartz sand that is melted to form glass. Fused silica offers high volume stability, low volumetric expansion, and exceptional purity, making it ideal for various refractory applications such as aluminum launders.

Our raw material is carefully selected high-purity silica sand (SiO2>99%) sourced locally from Donghai/Xinyi. Through a meticulous process of melting the silica sand at temperatures ranging from 2000-2300 ºC and subsequent cooling, we produce amorphous silicon dioxide glassy ingots. These ingots are further processed into fused silica lumps, sand, and powder to meet the specific requirements of our customers.

Fused Silica Making Process

Fused Silica is produced from high purity crystal silica from China Donghai-Xinyi through electrical fusion at temperatures ranging from 1800-2000ºC. It is then specially engineered into various forms such as lumps, cullet, ingots, sand, grain, granular, and powder flour, ideal for manufacturing PV fused silica crucibles, thermal ceramics, refractories, EMC investment casting ceramic shells, and more.

Fused Silica Sand Appearance and Specifications:

• Must not contain any unfused parts.


• Should be free of foreign materials like string, plastic, carbon, wood, metal, or other contaminants.


• Only conditional black dots are allowed; all other color dots are forbidden.


• Black spot diameter should not exceed 2mm.


• Total black dots quantity should be less than 10 per square meter.
