Type A silica gel is a transparent or translucent particle with the chemical formula mSiO2·nH2O. It is insoluble in water and inorganic acids, soluble in hydrofluoric acid and strong caustic soda solutions. This silica gel offers high mechanical strength, good wear resistance, an average pore diameter of 2.0-3.0nm, surface area of 650-800m2/g, and pore volume of 0.35-0.45ml/g.
It is mainly used for drying and moistureproof purposes but can also be utilized as catalyst carriers, adsorbents, separators, and variable-pressure adsorbents.

Al Silica gel is a colorless or light yellow transparent or translucent spherical particles with stable chemical properties. It is non-combustible, insoluble in most solvents except strong bases and hydrofluoric acid. Compared to silica gel with fine holes, Al Silica gel has a similar adsorption capacity at low humidity levels (e.g., RH=10%, RH=20%), but offers 6-10% higher adsorption capacity at high humidity levels (e.g., RH=80%, RH=90%). Additionally, it has a thermal stability of over 350ºC, making it suitable for variable temperature adsorption and separation applications.
Al Silica gel is primarily used for dehydrating natural gas by adsorbing and separating light hydrocarbons. It can also serve as a catalyst and catalyst carrier in the petroleum industry, as well as an industrial desiccant, liquid adsorbent, and gas separation agent.
