Properties:

Blue silica gel consists of blue or light blue glassy particles. It can change color from blue to purple to light pink as it absorbs moisture, indicating the humidity level of the environment and the need for replacement. It can be used as a desiccant on its own or in conjunction with Type A Silica Gel.

Application:

Primarily used for absorbing moisture and preventing rust in instruments, gauges, and equipment in enclosed conditions. The color change from blue to red visually indicates the relative humidity of the environment. When used with ordinary silica gel or a drier, it helps determine the moisture absorption level and relative humidity. Widely used in packing precision instruments, leathers, shoes, clothes, foodstuffs, medicines, and household electric appliances.
