Product Description:


Lianyungang Chemsize International Trading Co., Ltd. specializes in the production of fused silica, a high-purity quartz sand that is melted to form glass. Fused silica offers high volume stability, low volumetric expansion, and exceptional purity, making it ideal for various refractory applications, including aluminum launders.


Our raw material is carefully selected high-purity silica sand (SiO2>99%) sourced from Donghai/Xinyi. Through a meticulous process of melting the silica sand at high temperatures (2000-2300 ºC) and subsequent cooling, we produce amorphous silicon dioxide glassy ingots. These ingots are further processed into fused silica lumps, sand, and powder to meet the specific requirements of our customers.

Fused Silica Making Process


Fused Silica is produced using high purity crystal silica from China Donghai-Xinyi. It is electrically fused at temperatures ranging from 1800-2000ºC to create amorphous Silicon dioxide. The resulting material is engineered into various forms such as lumps, cullet, ingots, sand, grain, granular, and powder flour. These forms are ideal for manufacturing PV fused silica crucibles, thermal ceramics, refractories, EMC investment casting ceramic shells, and more.



Fused Silica Sand Appearance and Specifications:



  • Must not contain any unfused parts

  • Should be free of foreign materials like string, plastic line, carbon, wood, metal, or other contaminants

  • Only conditional black dots are allowed, no other color dots

  • Black spot diameter should not exceed 2mm

  • Total black dots quantity should be less than 10 per square meter
