Al Silica gel is a colorless or light yellow transparent or translucent spherical particles with stable chemical properties. It is non-combustible, insoluble in any solvent except strong bases and hydrofluoric acid. Compared to silica gel with fine holes, it has a similar adsorption capacity at low humidity levels (e.g., RH=10%, RH=20%), but a 6-10% higher capacity at high humidity levels (e.g., RH=80%, RH=90%). Additionally, it has a thermal stability of 350ºC, which is more than 150ºC higher than silica gel with fine holes, making it ideal for variable temperature adsorption and separation applications.

It is insoluble in water and inorganic acids, soluble in hydrofluoric acid and strong caustic soda solutions.
