Fused Silica Making Process

Fused Silica is produced from high purity crystal silica from China Donghai-Xinyi through electrical fusion at temperatures ranging from 1800-2000ºC. It is then specially engineered into various forms such as lumps, cullet, ingots, sand, grain, granular, and powder flour, tailored for applications like PV fused silica crucible, thermal ceramic, refractory, EMC investment casting ceramic shell, etc.

Fused Silica Sand Appearance and Specifications:

• No unfused parts allowed


• No foreign materials like string, plastic, carbon, wood, metal, or other contaminants


• Conditional black dots permitted, but no other color dots


• Black spot diameter should not exceed 2mm


• Total black dots quantity should be less than 10 per square meter
