The European Union classified cobalt chloride as a Class II carcinogen in 1998. Blue gum containing cobalt chloride has been banned in Europe and the United States. To address market demands, cobalt-free environmental discoloration silica gel was developed.

The product is based on blue gum color-changing silica gel. Orange color-changing silica gel is made from fine porous silica gel infused with an inorganic salt mixture. It utilizes new non-toxic compound dyes to eliminate pollution from dyes and discoloration agents. With its original technological conditions and excellent adsorption performance, it has become a new generation of environmentally friendly products.

Application

It is primarily used as a desiccant and indicator of desiccant saturation level in sealed packaging. It helps maintain the relative humidity of the space medium in precision instruments, general packaging, and instruments to prevent moisture.

Blue Silica Gel

Blue silica gel is an excellent primary desiccant that can be used alone or blended with other desiccants for applications requiring visual moisture control. Chemsize silica gel beads are saturated with a moisture-indicating solution, turning deep blue when dry and changing to purple and pink as they adsorb moisture.
