Blue silica gel is an excellent primary desiccant that can also be blended with other desiccants for applications requiring visual moisture control. Chemsize silica gel beads are saturated with a moisture indicating solution, turning deep blue when dry and changing to purple and pink as they adsorb moisture.
Type A silica gel is a transparent or translucent particle with the chemical formula mSiO2·nH2O. It is insoluble in water and inorganic acids, soluble in hydrofluoric acid and strong caustic soda solutions, with high mechanical strength and good wear resistance.
Mainly used for drying and moistureproof, as well as catalyst carriers, adsorbents, separators, and variable-pressure adsorbents.
