Fused Silica Making Process

Fused Silica is produced from high purity crystal silica sourced from China Donghai-Xinyi. It is electrically fused at temperatures ranging from 1800-2000ºC to form amorphous Silicon dioxide. The material is then specially engineered into various forms such as lumps, cullet, ingots, sand, grain, granular, and powder flour. These forms are specifically designed for applications like PV fused silica crucible, thermal ceramic, refractory, EMC investment casting ceramic shell, etc.

Fused Silica Sand Appearance and Specifications:

• Must not contain any unfused parts.


• Should be free from foreign materials like string, plastic line, carbon, wood, metal, or other contaminants.


• Only conditional black dots are allowed; all other color dots are prohibited.


• Black spot diameter should not exceed 2mm.


• Total black dots quantity should be less than 10 per square meter when opening the big bag.
