It is insoluble in water and inorganic acids, soluble in hydrofluoric acid and strong caustic soda solutions. This silica gel has high mechanical strength, good wear resistance, an average pore diameter of 2.0-3.0nm, surface area of 650-800m2/g, and pore volume of 0.35-0.45ml/g.



Application


It is primarily used for drying and moistureproof purposes but can also serve as catalyst carriers, adsorbents, separators, and variable-pressure adsorbents.

Al Silica Gel



Properties:


Al Silica gel is colorless or light yellow transparent or translucent spherical particles with a chemical formula mSiO2.nAl2O3.xH2O. It has stable chemical properties, is non-combustible, and insoluble in any solvent except strong base and hydrofluoric acid. Compared with silica gel with fine holes, it has a similar adsorption capacity at low humidity (e.g., RH=10%, RH=20%), but a 6-10% higher adsorption capacity at high humidity (e.g., RH=80%, RH=90%). Its thermal stability (350ºC) is more than 150ºC higher than silica gel with fine holes, making it suitable for variable temperature adsorption and separation.



Application:


Al Silica Gel is primarily used for the adsorption and separation of light hydrocarbons by dehydrating natural gas. It can also serve as a catalyst and catalyst carrier in the petroleum industry, as well as an industrial desiccant, liquid adsorbent, and gas separation agent.
