Al Silica gel is colorless or light yellow transparent or translucent spherical particles with a chemical formula mSiO2.nAl2O3.xH2O. It has stable chemical properties, is non-combustible, and insoluble in any solvent except strong base and hydrofluoric acid. Compared to silica gel with fine holes, it has similar adsorption capacity at low humidity levels (e.g., RH=10%, RH=20%), but 6-10% higher adsorption capacity at high humidity levels (e.g., RH=80%, RH=90%). Additionally, its thermal stability (350ºC) is more than 150ºC higher than silica gel with fine holes, making it ideal for variable temperature adsorption and separation applications.
Al Silica Gel is primarily used for the adsorption and separation of light hydrocarbons through natural gas dehydration. It can also serve as a catalyst and catalyst carrier in the petroleum industry, as well as an industrial desiccant, liquid adsorbent, and gas separation agent.
