Blue silica gel consists of blue or light blue glassy particles. The product is divided into blue silica gel indicator and blue silica gel. It is characterized by its hygroscopicity process, turning from blue to purple, and finally to light pink as it absorbs moisture. This color change indicates the humidity level of the environment and the need for replacement. Blue silica gel can be used as a desiccant on its own or in conjunction with Type A Silica Gel.
Blue silica gel is primarily used for absorbing moisture and preventing rust in instruments, gauges, and equipment in enclosed conditions. As it absorbs moisture, it changes color from blue to red, visually indicating the relative humidity of the environment. When used with ordinary silica gel or a drier, it shows the extent to which the drier absorbs moisture and helps determine the relative humidity of the surroundings.
