The Chemical Formula of Blue Silica Gel is SiO2· nH2O + CoCl2. Also known as narrow pore silica gel, Chemsize features interconnecting pores with diameters of 20-30 nanometers, providing excellent moisture adsorption capabilities through physical adsorption and capillary condensation.
Our Blue Indicating Silica Gel beads are saturated with a moisture indicating solution, turning deep blue when dry and changing to purple and pink as it adsorbs moisture. It effectively removes moisture at temperatures up to 220°F, with optimal performance at room temperature (70-90°F) and high relative humidity (60-90% Rh).
