Fused Silica Making Process


Fused Silica is produced from high purity crystal silica sourced from China Donghai-Xinyi. It is electrically fused at temperatures of 1800-2000ºC to create amorphous Silicon dioxide. The material is then engineered into various forms such as lumps, cullet, ingots, sand, grain, granular, and powder flour. These forms are specifically designed for manufacturing PV fused silica crucibles, thermal ceramics, refractories, EMC investment casting ceramic shells, and more.



Fused Silica Sand Appearance and Specifications:



  • Must not contain any unfused parts.

  • Should be free of foreign materials like strings, plastic lines, carbon, wood, metal, or other contaminants.

  • Only conditional black dots are allowed; all other color dots are prohibited.

  • Black spot diameter should not exceed 2mm.

  • Total black dots quantity should be less than 10 per square meter when opening the big bag.
