Al Silica Gel



Properties:

Al Silica gel is colorless or light yellow transparent or translucent spherical particles with a chemical formula mSiO2.nAl2O3.xH2O. It has stable chemical properties, is non-combustible, and insoluble in any solvent except strong bases and hydrofluoric acid. Compared to silica gel with fine holes, it has similar adsorption capacity at low humidity levels (e.g., RH=10%, RH=20%), but exhibits 6-10% higher adsorption capacity at high humidity levels (e.g., RH=80%, RH=90%). Additionally, its thermal stability (350ºC) is more than 150ºC higher than silica gel with fine holes, making it ideal for variable temperature adsorption and separation applications.



Application:

Al Silica Gel is primarily used for the adsorption and separation of light hydrocarbons through the dehydration of natural gas. It can also serve as a catalyst and catalyst carrier in the petroleum industry, as well as an industrial desiccant, liquid adsorbent, and gas separation agent.
