It can change color from blue to purple and finally to light pink as it absorbs moisture, indicating the humidity level of the environment. This product can be used as a desiccant on its own or in conjunction with Type A Silica Gel.
Blue silica gel is primarily used for absorbing moisture and preventing rust in instruments, gauges, and equipment kept in enclosed conditions. When it absorbs moisture, it changes color from blue to red, visually showing the relative humidity of the environment. It can be used with ordinary silica gel or a drier to gauge moisture absorption and relative humidity.
