It is insoluble in water and inorganic acids, soluble in hydrofluoric acid and strong caustic soda solutions. This silica gel has high mechanical strength and good wear resistance with an average pore diameter of 2.0-3.0nm, surface area of 650-800m2/g, and pore volume of 0.35-0.45ml/g.
