Fused silica offers high volume stability, low volumetric expansion, and exceptional purity, making it ideal for various refractory applications such as aluminum launders.

 

We meticulously select high-purity silica sand (SiO2>99%) sourced from Donghai/Xinyi as our raw material. Through a process of melting the silica sand at high temperatures (2000-2300 ºC) and subsequent cooling, we produce amorphous silicon dioxide glassy ingots. These ingots are further processed into fused silica lumps, sand, and powder to meet our customers' specific requirements.

Fused Silica Making Process

 

Fused Silica is produced using high purity crystal silica from China Donghai-Xinyi. It is electrically fused at temperatures ranging from 1800-2000ºC to create amorphous Silicon dioxide. The resulting material is then specially engineered into various forms such as lumps, cullet, ingots, sand, grain, granular, and powder flour. These forms are designed for making PV fused silica crucibles, thermal ceramics, refractories, EMC investment casting ceramic shells, and more.

 

Fused Silica Sand Appearance and Specifications:

 

• Must not contain any unfused parts


• Should not have any foreign materials like string, plastic line, carbon, wood, metal, or other contaminants


• Only conditional black dots are allowed, no other color dots


• Black spot diameter should not exceed 2mm
