Al Silica gel is a colorless or light yellow transparent or translucent spherical particles with stable chemical properties. It is non-combustible, insoluble in any solvent except strong bases and hydrofluoric acid. Compared to silica gel with fine holes, Al Silica gel has a similar adsorption capacity at low humidity levels (e.g., RH=10%, RH=20%), but offers 6-10% higher adsorption capacity at high humidity levels (e.g., RH=80%, RH=90%). Additionally, it has a thermal stability of 350ºC, which is more than 150ºC higher than silica gel with fine holes, making it ideal for variable temperature adsorption and separation applications.

Blue silica gel consists of blue or light blue glassy particles. It can change color from blue to purple and finally to light pink as it absorbs moisture, indicating the humidity level of the environment and the need for replacement. It can be used as a desiccant on its own or in combination with Type A Silica Gel.
Blue silica gel is primarily used for absorbing moisture and preventing rust in instruments, gauges, and equipment in enclosed conditions. When it absorbs moisture, it changes color from blue to red, visually indicating the relative humidity of the environment.
