It is insoluble in water and inorganic acids, soluble in hydrofluoric acid and strong caustic soda solutions. This silica gel has high mechanical strength, good wear resistance, an average pore diameter of 2.0-3.0nm, surface area of 650-800m2/g, and pore volume of 0.35-0.45ml/g.



Application


It is mainly used for drying and moistureproof purposes, but can also serve as catalyst carriers, adsorbents, separators, and variable-pressure adsorbents.
