Garnet abrasive sand is a naturally occurring silicate mineral deposit. The harder species of abrasive garnet like almandine are used for abrasive purposes because it has a hardness on the Mohs scale of about 7 to 7.5 and provides the perfect balance between cutting speed and superior edge quality.
Garnet sand is washed, processed, and screened to the necessary abrasive grade for use as an abrasive media in industries such as water jet cutting, sand blasting, and shot blasting.

Lianyungang Chemsize offers high-quality sand blasting abrasive sand in various mesh sizes, including 12-20mesh, 20-40mesh, 30-60mesh, 60# 80#, 120#, 180#, 200#, and 240#. Custom sizes are also available.
Garnet media is ideal for all waterjet cutting machines, providing uninterrupted production for maximum efficiency and low costs. It offers high cutting speed and superior edge quality, reducing equipment wear and tear for longer service life. The tightly graded garnet sand minimizes downtime and maximizes production, allowing for cold cutting without heat-affected zones or hardening. It can perforate most materials without starting holes and cut virtually any material, producing net-shape or near-net-shape parts without secondary processing.
Chemsize International Trading Co., Ltd. is dedicated to providing high-quality garnet media at competitive prices with minimal delivery time to ensure customer satisfaction.
Garnet is a versatile sandblasting mineral derived from Almandite or Andradite deposits. It is ideal for both wet and dry sandblasting applications, providing a clean and fast result. With a high hardness rating of 7 to 8, garnet is long-lasting and cost-effective. It is environmentally friendly, safe, and non-toxic, making it suitable for various applications.
We offer Galaxy Garnet for premium waterjet use and Andradite Garnet for standard waterjet applications. Both types are cleaned and re-screened to waterjet specs, providing excellent cutting results. The Andradite Garnet is slightly less premium but offers availability and competitive pricing.
For regular sandblasting using 30/60 and 20/40 grades, the garnet provides efficient and less dusty results, making it a reliable choice for various industrial applications.
