Al Silica gel is colorless or light yellow transparent or translucent spherical particles with a chemical formula mSiO2.nAl2O3.xH2O. It has stable chemical properties, is non-combustible, and insoluble in any solvent except strona bese and hydrofluoric acid. Compared to silica gel with fine holes, it has similar adsorption capacity at low humidity levels (e.g., RH=10%, RH=20%), but exhibits 6-10% higher adsorption capacity at high humidity levels (e.g., RH=80%, RH=90%). Additionally, it has a thermal stability of 350ºC, which is more than 150ºC higher than silica gel with fine holes, making it suitable for variable temperature adsorption and separation applications.
Al Silica Gel is primarily used for the adsorption and separation of light hydrocarbons through the dehydration of natural gas. It can also serve as a catalyst and catalyst carrier in the petroleum industry, as well as an industrial desiccant, liquid adsorbent, and gas separation agent.
