Product Description: Fused Silica

Fused silica is a high-purity quartz sand that has been melted to form glass. Its high volume stability, low volumetric expansion, and high purity make it an extremely useful and versatile material for refractory applications, such as in aluminum launders or other highly cyclical applications.

At Lianyungang Chemsize International Trading Co., Ltd., we carefully select high-purity silica sand (SiO2 > 99%) from local Donghai/Xinyi as our raw material. The silica sand is melted at high temperatures (2000-2300 ºC) to form an amorphous silicon dioxide glassy ingot, which is then cooled and processed into fused silica lump, sand, and powder according to customer specifications.

Fused Silica is meticulously crafted from high purity crystal silica sourced from China Donghai-Xinyi. Through an electric fusion process at temperatures ranging from 1800-2000ºC, the silica transforms into amorphous Silicon dioxide. Our Fused Silica is available in various forms such as lumps, cullet, ingots, sand, grain, granular, and powder flour, tailored for creating PV fused silica crucibles, thermal ceramics, refractories, EMC investment casting ceramic shells, and more.

Appearance and Specifications:

• No unfused parts are allowed.


• Absolutely no foreign materials like string, plastic, carbon, wood, metal, or other contaminants.


• Conditional black dots are permissible, while other color dots are prohibited.


• Black spot diameter should not exceed 2mm.


• Total black dots quantity should be less than 10 per square meter.
