The harder species of abrasive garnet, such as almandine, are specifically chosen for their hardness on the Mohs scale of about 7 to 7.5. This hardness provides the perfect balance between cutting speed and superior edge quality.

Waterjet Garnet:

We offer Galaxy Garnet for premium waterjet use and Andradite Garnet for standard waterjet applications. Both types are cleaned and re-screened to meet waterjet specifications.

Andradite Garnet may contain trace minerals like Wollastonite, making it slightly more dusty than Galaxy Garnet. However, it is cost-effective and readily available in various grit sizes.

Coverage Notes For Regular Sandblasters:

For 30/60 and 20/40 grades, the garnet offers efficient coverage and reduced dusting for optimal sandblasting results.
