Fused Silica Making Process


Fused Silica is produced using high purity crystal silica from China Donghai-Xinyi. It is electrically fused at temperatures ranging from 1800-2000ºC to create amorphous Silicon dioxide. The resulting material is then engineered into various forms such as lumps, cullet, ingots, sand, grain, granular, and powder flour. These forms are specifically designed for manufacturing PV fused silica crucibles, thermal ceramics, refractories, EMC investment casting ceramic shells, and more.



Fused Silica Sand Appearance and Specifications:



  1. No unfused parts are allowed.

  2. Foreign materials like strings, plastic lines, carbon, wood, metal, or other contaminants are strictly prohibited.

  3. Except for conditional black dots, all other color dots are not permitted.

  4. Black spot diameter should not exceed 2mm.

  5. The total quantity of black dots should be less than 10 per square meter when opening the big bag.
