Fused silica is a high-purity quartz sand that has been melted to form glass. Its high volume stability, low volumetric expansion, and high purity make it an ideal material for refractory applications, such as aluminum launders.


At Lianyungang Chemsize International Trading Co., Ltd., we source high-purity silica sand (SiO2 > 99%) from Donghai/Xinyi as our raw material. The silica sand is melted at temperatures ranging from 2000-2300 ºC to form amorphous silicon dioxide glassy ingots, which are then processed into fused silica lumps, sand, and powder based on customer requirements.

Our Fused Silica is specially engineered into lumps, cullet, ingots, sand, grain, granular, and powder flour forms. These are designed for various applications such as PV fused silica crucible, thermal ceramic, refractory, EMC investment casting ceramic shell, and more.


Fused Silica Sand Appearance and Specifications:



  • Must not contain any unfused parts.

  • Should be free of foreign materials like string, plastic line, carbon, wood, metal, or other contaminants.

  • Only conditional black dots are allowed; all other color dots are prohibited.

  • Black spot diameter should not exceed 2mm.

  • Total black dots quantity should be less than 10 per square meter when opening the big bag.
