Blue silica gel is an ideal primary desiccant that can be used alone or blended with other desiccants for applications requiring visual control of moisture. Chemsize silica gel beads are saturated with a moisture-indicating solution, giving them a deep blue color when dry. The color changes from blue to purple to pink as moisture is adsorbed.

Type A silica gel is a transparent or translucent particle with the chemical formula mSiO2.nH2O. It is insoluble in water and inorganic acids, soluble in hydrofluoric acid and strong caustic soda solutions. This silica gel has high mechanical strength and good wear resistance.
Mainly used for drying and moistureproof, can also serve as catalyst carriers, adsorbents, separators, and variable-pressure adsorbents.
