Blue Silica Gel

Blue silica gel is an ideal primary desiccant that can be used alone or blended with other desiccants for applications requiring visual control of moisture. Chemsize silica gel beads are saturated with a moisture-indicating solution, giving them a deep blue color when dry. The color changes from blue to purple to pink as moisture is adsorbed.

Chemical Formula:

SiO₂· nH₂O + CoCl₂

Features:

• Narrow pore silica gel with interconnecting pores of 20-30 nanometers


• Strong affinity for moisture using physical adsorption and capillary condensation


• Effective moisture removal up to 220°F, best used at room temperature and high relative humidity
