Lianyungang Chemsize International Trading Co., Ltd. specializes in the production of high purity fused silica. Our fused silica is derived from high purity quartz sand that is melted to create glass with exceptional stability and low volumetric expansion. This versatile material is ideal for refractory applications, including aluminum launders and other high-cyclical uses.

We meticulously select high purity silica sand (SiO2>99%) from Donghai/Xinyi as our raw material. Through a process of melting at high temperatures (2000-2300 ºC) and subsequent cooling, the silica sand transforms into amorphous silicon dioxide glassy ingots. These ingots are further processed into fused silica lumps, sand, and powder to meet the specific requirements of our customers.

Fused Silica Making Process

Fused Silica is produced from high purity crystal silica from China Donghai-Xinyi. It is electrically fused at temperatures ranging from 1800-2000ºC to create amorphous Silicon dioxide. The material is then specially engineered into various forms such as lumps, cullet, ingots, sand, grain, granular, and powder flour. These forms are designed for making PV fused silica crucibles, thermal ceramics, refractories, EMC investment casting ceramic shells, and more.

Fused Silica Sand Appearance and Specifications:

• Must not contain any unfused parts


• Should be free of foreign materials such as string, plastic, carbon, wood, metal, or other contaminants


• Only conditional black dots are allowed, no other color dots


• Black spot diameter should not exceed 2mm


• Total black dots quantity should be less than 10 per square meter
