Fused silica offers high volume stability, low volumetric expansion, and exceptional purity, making it ideal for various refractory applications, including aluminum launders.

We meticulously select high-purity silica sand (SiO2>99%) from Donghai/Xinyi as our raw material. Through a process of melting at high temperatures (2000-2300 ºC) and subsequent cooling, the silica sand transforms into amorphous silicon dioxide glassy ingot. Our products are further refined into fused silica lumps, sand, and powder to meet the specific requirements of our customers.

Fused Silica Making Process

Fused Silica is produced from high purity crystal silica sourced from China Donghai-Xinyi. It is electrically fused at temperatures ranging from 1800-2000ºC to form amorphous Silicon dioxide. The material is then engineered into various forms such as lumps, cullet, ingots, sand, grain, granular, and powder flour. These forms are specifically designed for manufacturing PV fused silica crucibles, thermal ceramics, refractories, EMC investment casting ceramic shells, and more.

Fused Silica Sand Appearance and Specifications:

• No unfused parts are allowed.


• No foreign materials such as string, plastic, carbon, wood, metal, or other contaminants are permitted.


• Only conditional black dots are acceptable.


• Black spot diameter should not exceed 2mm.


• Total black dots quantity should be less than 10 per square meter.
