Blue silica gel is a primary desiccant with a deep blue color when dry, changing to purple and pink as it adsorbs moisture. It is ideal for applications requiring visual control of moisture.
Chemical Formula: SiO2· nH2O + CoCl2
Features: Narrow pore silica gel with pores of 20-30 nanometers, high moisture adsorption capacity, effective up to 220°F, best used at 70-90°F and 60-90% Rh.
Typical Applications: Compressed air dryers, gas drying, breathers, and packaged goods.
Type A silica gel is a transparent particle with high mechanical strength and good wear resistance.
Chemical Formula: mSiO2·nH2O
Properties: Insoluble in water and inorganic acids, soluble in hydrofluoric acid and strong caustic soda solutions. Average pore diameter of 2.0-3.0nm, surface area of 650-800m2/g, and pore volume of 0.35-0.45ml/g.
