Properties
Blue silica gel consists of blue or light blue glassy particles. It can change color from blue to purple and finally to light pink as it absorbs moisture, indicating the humidity level of the environment. This desiccant can be used alone or with Type A Silica Gel.
Application
Blue silica gel is ideal for absorbing moisture and preventing rust in instruments, gauges, and equipment in enclosed conditions. When it changes color from blue to red, it visually indicates the relative humidity of the environment. It can be used with ordinary silica gel or a drier to gauge moisture absorption levels. Widely used in packing precision instruments, leathers, shoes, clothes, foodstuffs, medicines, and household electric appliances.

Also known as narrow pore silica gel, Chemsize features a vast network of interconnecting pores with diameters of 20-30 nanometers. Silica gel can effectively remove moisture at temperatures up to 220°F, with optimal performance at room temperature (70-90°F) and high relative humidity (60-90% Rh).
